10QTV2-CT Self-regulating trace heating cables
Self-Regulating Trace Heating Cables for Large-Pipe Freeze Protection & Process Temperature Maintenance up to 110°C
The QTVR series comprises a range of parallel, self-regulating trace heating cables engineered specifically for freeze protection of large pipes and high-heat-loss vessels, as well as process temperature maintenance up to 110°C (225°F) in applications where steam cleaning is not required. All variants feature a fluoropolymer outer jacket (-CT), providing excellent chemical resistance against aggressive organic compounds and corrosive agents.
The series offers three power output levels to accommodate varying thermal demands: 10QTVR (38 W/m), 15QTVR (51 W/m), and 20QTVR (64 W/m), all rated at 10°C ambient temperature.
Key Advantages
-
Simplified hazardous-area design – Certified with an unconditional T4 temperature classification per EN60079-30-1, the QTVR series eliminates the need for sheath temperature calculations or additional control measures, streamlining system design.
-
Quick and effortless installation – The cables support multiple overlaps around valves, flanges, and complex pipe configurations, can be cut to length on-site, and are supplied with user-friendly connection kits. Meter markings printed along the outer jacket simplify measuring and cutting.
-
Safe, reliable, and energy-efficient operation – The self-regulating technology prevents overheating even when cables are crossed, while delivering high power output for effective frost protection. It ensures uniform temperature distribution along the pipe and reduces energy consumption. Additional savings can be realized through integration with various control and monitoring systems.
